Dragonflies
The curriculum developed in the three year old room was designed to meet the needs of those children who are not yet old enough for preschool but mature and intelligent enough to begin the process of a more structured learning environment. The threes will learn through reading, writing, acting, singing, creating, constructing, and experimentation.
The curriculum in this room is designed as trial and error as these children make the transition from young child to prepreschool age children. Children with parental consent will participate in The Duncan Academy's sign language, Spanish, and computer technology programs. They will use each day to learn about the world around them through the use of Science, Math, Music, Movement, and Art, and will be given daily opportunities to expand upon the knowledge they already have and build upon their ever increasing sense of wonder.
